Why do you want to be a tutor?
- Learning and excelling in a subject can be difficult. I am here to help you do well in the most efficient way possible. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy working with people and helping students understand concepts.
Why should a student pick you?
- I am a dependable tutor with a skill and knowledge set that allows me to tutor a variety of subjects. I will work diligently with you to make sure you get to the level of proficiency you wish to achieve. I am a down-to-earth person with lots of previous private tutoring experience. I will strive to make sure that you understand fundamental concepts, because a strong understanding of concepts will get you farther than brute memorization.
Personal Statement:
- I recently graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX and am living in San Francisco, as I will be attending medical school here in the fall. I enjoy tutoring on the side -- while in college, I tutored high school students in physics, chemistry, and calculus. I have always strived to establish a camaraderie with the students I tutor so that learning can be fun, and not a chore.
